Tex-Mex Kadillaks

Certain artists just seem to have an innate sense of what it takes to please an audience. The Tex-Mex Kadillaks are one of those artists. Whether on stage or in the recording studio, the Kadillaks never give less than a hundred percent, and it's that kind of dedicated work ethic combined with God-given talent that have made them one of the most sought after Tex-Mex artists since they started their musical journey in 2006. They are described as the “Total Musical Package”; aside from their versatility to play any musical genre, they have the right tradional and modern elements in their music that make them appealing to both older and younger audiences. The Kadillaks are currently riding the success of their debut CD “No Te Apartes De Mi”, an album that instantly elevated them as leaders of the new generation in the Tex-Mex music; their debut single “No Te Apartes De Mi”, reached the #1 spot on the Tejano Gold Countdown for the week of January 28 thru February 3, 2007. Prior to that, the Kadillaks were recognized by the Valley Choice Awards as the “Most Promising Band” for 2006…….other accolades include, “Best Rising Star Group Award” at the 2007 Tejano Music Industry Awards………“Mejor Revelacion Del Ano” at the 2007 Premios A La Musica Latina……….a “Mejor Nuevo Artista” at the 2007 Premios de Tejas in Austin, TX; and most recently "Most Promising Band of the Year" at the 2008 Tejano Music Awards. But it’s not the industry accolades that spring to mind when fans think of Tex-Mex Kadillaks. It is their humbleness, their way of being, and of course, the great songs and music that they deliver with pure heart and soul. The Kadillaks’ highly anticipated new album “Me Gustas Tu” is set for release on March 4, 2008 on the Tex-Mex Records label. This is the second album for the young band that hails from the Rio Grande Valley. For this album, the Kadillaks approached legendary songwriter Humberto “Beto” Ramon with a couple of concepts that would make for great songs. Ramon had never been approached by an artist as far as what to write about, nevertheless, he was up for the challenge. Ramon penned the songs “Por Ellos”, “Hasta Dormido” and “Llevale Una Rosa”; in the latter, he joins the Kadillaks as the featured lead- vocalist. “It was an honor to work with a composer of his caliber”, says guitarist Isaac Bazan. “To bring him our ideas and watch him compose was incredible, he is gifted”. The members of the group are guitarist, Isaac Bazan; lead vocalist and keyboardist, Jesse Flores; lead vocalist and guitarist, Fernando Salinas; bassist, Jaime Cano; accordionist, Guillermo “Gizmo” García and drummer Ricardo Lerma.
