Formed in Los Angeles, California, United States, around 1963, The Rumors' only release was a single for Gemcor Records in July of 1965: Hold Me Now, a tune that showcases a blend of Vox organ, shouted lead vocals and fast-pickin', surf-tinged guitar. The song was composed by singer/organist, Ben Turner, and drummer, Norman Prinsky. Gemcor Records went out of business almost immediately after the single's release. It never took off.
