http://www.myspace.com/theallwaysny "The Scene": a phrase The All Ways has become very familiar with over their time spent in the music world. "People spend too much time worrying about how they can fit into the scene," says lead singer Austin Massirman. It is the All Ways’ firm belief that originality and self-expression are far more important parts of being in the music world than trying to fit in. The band consists of guitarists Jon Colantonio and Ron Geffen, who both hail from Rockland County, New York. After being in several bands over the years, they met and became friends at college, and soon realized that they shared the same passion for music. Austin had been working with Ron on some ideas for a short time, and decided it was time to make these ideas into a reality. Billy Houlihan was soon recruited into the band to play bass, and shortly after some lineup changes, they brought Greg Strauss in as their drummer. Being together for a total of five months, the band has accomplished much, releasing a self-produced and self-recorded Demo and EP, which are currently being sold on iTunes, and will soon be introduced into local Hot Topics, along with some of their other merchandise. The band has also made it a point to get as many shows as possible under their belt in such a short time, playing in various venues in the NY/NJ area. "The sky is the limit right now; we aren't going to set any boundaries on ourselves," says Billy, when asked how far they plan on going. The band will be doing a string of dates across the east coast and through parts of the Midwest this summer, to get better acquainted with their fans outside of the NY/NJ area. "Being self produced, recorded, creating our own designs, setting up our own connections with the fans… It has made things much more personal and given us much more freedom in the way we develop our presence in the music world.” Now that their foot is in the door, there is no stopping this five-man band from breaking through the barriers and showing the world what they can do. The All Ways is here to make their fans and the world see that no matter how rough the path may be, there is "always a place for your heart to escape". So open your heart, and welcome The All Ways, and they will do the same. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
