Formed in July of 2002, the Bridges are an alternative country group consisting of siblings Natalie Byrd (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Stacey Byrd (vocals, guitar), Isaaca Byrd (bass), and Jeremy Byrd (drums), along with cousin Brittany Painter (lead vocals, guitar). Originally from North Carolina, the Bridges are currently based out of Oxford, Alabama, United States where the entire band shares a house and rehearsal space. With a bright pop sound full of three-part harmonies, the Bridges site influences ranging from late-era Fleetwood Mac to the Beatles and Crosby, Still, Nash & Young, and the group's approach, although it draws on these classic 1960s and 1970s sources, is delightfully refreshing. The band signed with Verve Records in December of 2007 and began working on a debut project with Matthew Sweet at his studio in L.A. that same year. by Steve Leggett All Music Guide http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:apfpxze5ld0e Read more on Last.fm.
