1. The Fallen Angels, formed in 1965, were a dynamo of musical creativity and stage theatrics. They had an amazing ability to synthesize diverse musical styles (i.e., Beatles, Dylan, jazz, classical, etc.) into a cohesive sound that was distinctly their own. After releasing some singles and a full self-titled album in 1967 the band began working on what some people now describe as the "Sgt. Pepper of Washington D.C". This album, "A Long Way Down" (released in 1968) was a product of the revolutionary psychedelic underground art-scene. Their music was too "far out" for their audience and received very limited exposure to the burgeoning "underground" music scene associated with west coast bands such as the Doors, Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead. Despite playing to wildly enthusiastic crowds at venues all along the east coast, The Fallen Angels had not been able to establish their identity nationwide It got lost in obscurity for decades but now, finally, there's an evergrowing collector's interest in psychedelic relics the album finally gets general recognition as a 'minor masterpiece'.. 2. A second incarnation of The Fallen Angels have recorded a dramatic choral cover version of "Sexy Boy" by Air, seen on the recent campaign for Axe Excite Read more on Last.fm.
