The Handshake Murders hail from Arkansas. They are a mathcore/metalcore/post-hardcore band in the vein of Botch, Coalesce, and Norma Jean; they also draw noticeable influence from the churning, time-signature-shifting pummel of math-metal giants Meshuggah. The band includes many former members of Eso-Charis; this group was led by vocalist Cory Putman (who now goes by the name Cory Brandan), current vocalist for Norma Jean. He remains on good terms with the band, and even plugged them in a recent interview. Read more on Last.fm.
