There is more than one artist named The Jury: 1) Winnipeg, MB band from the sixties consisting of Ray Stockwell (drums), Bruce Walker (lead vocals), Roland "Termite" Blaquiere (bass guitar), George Johns (rhythm guitar) and Terry Kenny (lead guitar). 2) The Jury was a Leadbelly cover band featuring members of Nirvana and the Screaming Trees. Kurt Cobain - Guitar, Vocals Mark Lanegan - Guitar, Vocals Krist Novoselic - Bass, Backing vocals Mark Pickerel - Drums The four musicians initially gathered at Nirvana’s practice space, rehearsing Leadbelly songs they’d each brought in on cassette. “The idea was to do a session devoted to Leadbelly, then go back in later on and do some other blues artists as well,” Pickerel says. They then entered Seattle’s Reciprocal Recording, with Jack Endino producing, and four songs were recorded on August 20 and 21, 1989: “Where Did You Sleep Last Night,” lead vocal by Lanegan; “Aint It a Shame” and “They Hung Him on a Cross,” lead vocals by Cobain; and the instrumental “Grey Goose.” 3) THE JURY (LAWYER & JUDGE) The two members of The Jury, Lawyer (Nicolas Wächter) & Judge (Martin Werner) met at the age of 16 when they where acting as party promoters in the surroundings of Munich (Germany). Since 2009 they've been driving their audience crazy with their specially selected tech-house, techno, deep-house, underground techno and minimal beats. Their first release was "Roll On" in 2011, along with Verano EP and "Supreme" Read more on Last.fm.
