The Lashes are a Seattle-based power pop band. The band formed in Seattle in 2000. In 2004, the Lashes made their recording debut with the Stupid Stupid EP produced by John Goodmanson and released on Berkeley, California-based Lookout! Records. Sold-out shows with The Libertines and Ted Leo and the Pharmacists followed that same year. Before the year's end, the Lashes joined producer John Goodmanson for the recording of their debut album. Get It was issued on Columbia Records on February 21, 2006. On May 5, 2007, guitarist Eric Howk fell into a 12-foot deep hole at a construction site near a friend's house and broke several vertebrae and severed his spine. The accident left him paralyzed from the waist down, but he demanded the band not cancel their upcoming appearance at Bumbershoot 2007. The band most recently self-released the first half of their second LP, titled Thank You Side A on January 1, 2008. It was released exclusively at Sonic Boom Records and was once again produced by John Goodmanson. Read more on Last.fm.
