The Mermaids of the Lipetsk Shed is a grunge band from the Russian city of Lipetsk. Forming in 2009, the band's lineup has undergone numerous changes since it's inception. The current lineup consists of Alexandr Vasiliev (lead guitar/vox), Daria Banichek (bass guitar), Akim Vasiliev (rhythm guitar) and Dima Bolohov (drums). The group's sound is characterized by fuzzy, noisy guitars and driving bass rhythms. The band's eponymous debut EP was released in February 2010, and the single Garage Heat (with b-side Kim the Drawer) was released in September of that year.
