The Micropops

The Micropops was established in 2007 as a small urban pop project run by Håkon Njøten. The songs took the time based on the demos from Hakon's "kitchen studio" and created involvment in the underground by being very melodic at the same time exuded something more incomprehensible and mysterious. Since then, The Micropops acquired a rich history through P3 hit "Moonlight", respectful gigs, new materials and unique partnership with the premier of the Norwegian music industry. Today, The Micropops more conscious and purposeful than ever. They are in the process of recording album number 2 which can be expected first half of 2011. New material is written by Sophie and Håkon, inspired by a wide range of commercial pop that embraces commercial pop as well as the more undiscovered urban pop world. The Micropops performs innovative and trendy pop, which is performed through a wet, synth-based, and sorely sound that can be related to a cross by Swedish JJ, Lady Gaga, The XX.
