The Slack Republic were an independent rock band from Atlanta Georgia. The Slack Republic formed in the spring of 2005, and spent much of that year writing, recording and auditioning drummers. In mid Dec of 2005 The Slack Republic was booked for their first show, opening for HR (of Bad Brains) in Atlanta. From that point on the band never looked back. Touring the east coast as a 4-piece band - Mec Jagger (Vox), Pierre Moore (Guitar), Mike Gardner (Bass) & Lane Anderson (Drums), the Indie Punk/Rock outfit played the Knitting Factory, CBGB's and spot dates on the Van's Warped Tour in the summer of 2006. The group disbanded in early 2007 sighting creative differences. All that remains is the music. http://mecjagger.bandcamp.com Read more on Last.fm.
