The Sufis are an American psychedelic pop band. They were formed in Nashville, TN, by Calvin Laporte & Evan Smith in late 2011. They combine baroque instruments like Harpsichords and Woodwinds with psychedelic arrangements to produce their unique brand of pop music. They released their first self-tilted record in the summer of 2012 which was championed by the likes of David Fricke (Rolling Stone) and Rough Trade. Their follow-up, Inventions comes out August 6th 2013 on Ample Play (UK) and Burger Records (US). Read more on Last.fm.
