The Sunday Reeds are a noise pop/post-punk band formed in 2008 by Romana Ashton and Drew Jones (Guitar/Noise.) Their debut album 'Drowning In History' was released in 2009 through Squirrel Records (UK) to rave reviews both in Australia and internationally. 'Drowning In History' was listed as No. 4 in 4ZZZ Brisbane's Release of the Month April 2009 and received frequent airplay. In early 2009 Romana and Drew were joined by Andy Dawson (Drums) for live shows in Melbourne (Yah-Yah's, Wow, The Tote, Pony, Ding-Dong Lounge, Bar Open), and in Brisbane (Ric's, The Hangar.) 2010 saw The Sunday Reeds touring the UK, playing London, Leeds and Brighton where their strong following saw them play to packed houses, including a gig with UK act Still Corners, which was listed as NME's Gig of the Week September 7th to 12th 2010. Their new EP 'Dark Rainbows' sees The Sunday Reeds continuing to make the darkest, richest noise-pop around. www.thesundayreeds.com or http://www.thesundayreeds.bigcartel.com (shop.)
