Steve 'Stooka' Bennett - Vocals and Hubcaps Chris 'the Voodoo-Priest' Fogaty - Harmonica and Vocals Glenn 'Farm Boss' Walker - Guitars and Vocals Jason 'Driver Man' Breen - Drums Luke 'Young Man' Hynes - Double and Electric Bass, Vocals “The TuffTones” album is a powerful rocking tribute to our favorite artists; being moved to deliver long feel good solo’s, the recording is of the moment industrial strength dance music, that should be played loud. We started rehearsing as Diamond Jim & the Tuff Tones, with the Late Barry Lawrence RIP, who was a soul singer from England, after we lost Barry, Diamond Jim & the Tuff Tones recruited the great Steve "Stooka" Bennett into the lead singer spot. Steve immediately took command of the domain and always gives 100% to singing his song, no matter if it's at rehearsal or live in front of a big audience.... We started playing gigs on the Blues Train thanks to the generous support of Mr. Hugo Armstrong, who has done more to facilitate the "Blues" and high quality Australian music than anyone else I can think of. Jim decided to move to a more sunny climate, giving us the opportunity to ask Glen Walker to join the band again as he was with us for a brief period earlier. We shortened our name to The TuffTones (one word) and Glen has given us a fire and maturity that enables a free and creative collaboration between the five of us musical souls. We take the TuffTones anywhere and play with a level of passion and excellence. Here is looking forward to the future, Take care now.... Chris, Stooka, Jason, Luke and Glen. From playing in the earliest blues bands in Australia and developing thru rockabilly roots, west coast swing and madcat jazz, The TuffTones swing and play dirty blues with an irresistible beat that even gets men dancing. The TuffTones play music that is eclectic and superbly chosen representing the genres they love, everything from dirty blues to dark voodoo beats. As a live act they deliver a ridiculously raucous good time and visually splendiferous to boot with a fashion sense that is part voodoo priest meets Route 66 .
