The Velveteins are a Edmonton, Canada indie rock band formed in 2013, consisting of Spencer Morphy (vocals, guitar), and Addison Hiller (drums). After releasing a bout of self recorded EPs, the band gained a remarkable following, both local and abroad. Web blogs nationally and internationally began to buzz about the tasty surf-psych-rock that the Velveteins had propelled out into the Webosphere. After a debut tour through Western Canada in the summer of 2014, the band caught the eye of Lincoln Parish (Cage the Elephant). In November, the boys recorded a 5 track EP at the producers Nashville studio. The record is currently in its final stages of production and plan to be released in early 2015. Read more on Last.fm.
