TEOS was formed in 2008 by Greg Mauro & Alex Mauro (father and son) in San Diego, California. They composed instrumental music in the post-rock style with expressive melodies and deeply layered arrangements resulting in music intensely emotional, evocative, cinematic and complex. TEOS released “OMGWTFBBQ” (2008); “Hence the Title” (2009); and “Yrthak” (2010). In 2011 A metamorphosis occurred... Greg relocated to Topanga, California and Alex began working on his own avant garde, electro-experimental project known as blakblakblak. In 2012 Greg and Ianthe Mauro reinvented TEOS to include vocals and blur previous genre classifications. Difficult to label, the new music from TEOS has been referred to as post rock, art rock, avant garde, post classical, and cinematic. “The Voice Upon the Waters” (2013), the first collaborative release by Greg & Ianthe, weaves dense layers of instruments and melody using influences from classical, blues, rock, art & post rock to produce a tapestry of raw emotion, intricate textures, bravely innocent vocals, haunting melodies and scathing climaxes. ... http://www.theendofscience.com http://www.facebook.com/TheEndofScience http://twitter.com/theendofscience Read more on Last.fm.
