KHARKOV KLEZMER BAND (Ukraine / Germany) a klezmer band from Kharkiv, Ukraine. The band was founded in 1999 (in a country in which the performance of Jewish music was effectively forbidden from the 1930s until the early 1990s), under the directorship of Stanislav Raiko, and comprises a group of conservatory-educated musicians.
