www.myspace.com/themothandthemirror: The Moth & the Mirror are five and a half people most of the time: guitarists Gordon Skene, Louis Abbott, drummer Pete Murch , bassist Kevin 'Crash' McCarvel, percussionist Iain Sandilands, and vocalist Stacey Sievwright. The band began as a fateful germination in the brain of that chanteuse early in the century, late in the afternoon of one typical day (Tiusday or Wodensday, can’t remember) when she jumped from a too-high rock into a river that was not deep. Fluids became crystalline. There were rubies and diamonds. Tiny electric explosions flared in the neurological region and then and then and then… Truncated story: Quickfast the earth zoomed round the sun two or four times. Dizzied by planetary torque the six people collided. Nowadays, real-time, in the present, these people get together on purpose, say hellohowdoyoudo, pick up their noise-makers and go: PlinglingdannanadmmdoooooooOOoohaaaaahbdooM.Grshshhhb~ting~~~~~ -except in Sound, not letters. Sometimes, afterwards, they walk around the streets and proclaim (implausibly): “MUSIC HAS THE POWER TO ALTER THE SHAPE OF MATERIAL OBJECTS.” http://themothandthemirror.bandcamp.com/ Read more on Last.fm.
