There are at least two bands by this name: 1. Mid 60s garage rock band from Minneapolis, MN. They released the famous "The Crusher" 45 single on Parrot Records in 1964. The b-side was "take 7". The Crusher 45 was reissued as an EP in 1999 by Norton Records, adding the previously unreleased tracks "On The Road Again" and "My Sin Is My Pride!". "The Crusher" is about professional wrestler, Reginald "The Crusher" Lisowski from Milwaukee, WI. It peaked at #88 on the US Billboard Charts. 2. Mid '60s Psych-Garage band from Dallas who scored a regional hit in 1965 with their psychedelic rock single "William Junior" b/w "And It's Time". Real Texas garage rock classic! A singles compilation has been released by Dragon Street Records in TX. The photos that are featured here are primarily of the Texas band "The Novas" and NOT the MN band that recorded "The Crusher". The Texas band "The Novas" will be performing at South By Southwest 2010 on Saturday, March 20th at 9:30 PM at The Continental Club in Austin, TX. I'm the bass player in the Texas band.
