Easily to be voted Pittsburgh 's most appropriately named band, the 5 guys of Transition could likely be chosen as poster-boys for change. Exhibiting versatility in music style, lineup decisions, age range, and bridging scene-gaps is only the beginning of what has set this band apart from other aspiring steel city musicians. In a music world where teenagers are pining for self pitying lyrics, Transition provides optimistic release. Without losing the reality of adolescent emotions, the lyrics and tempo of the band's music successfully enable youth filled audiences to return and relate to their "growing up" obstacles and tackle them with the "never say never" attitude of Transition as a whole. Transition has been working hard, building a solid grassroots fan base throughout the United States, while most of the band was still in high school. In 2004 they released a self-made CD Sunset Wakeup, and sold over 4000 copies on their own. One year later, Transition has just independently recorded a brand new self-titled EP which moved over 3000 copies just two months past its release. Transition never entered the studio to work on their first album on Floodgate Records, with a release date set up for late spring 2006. They broke up on October 18, 2006.
