Twin Method was a nu metal band based in Liverpool, England. It was announced that the band signed with Crash Music Inc. on February 3, 2006. Twin Method's debut album The Volume of Self was released on June 13, 2006, and produced by ex-Machine Head/Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader. The music video for the album's single, "The Abrasive", was directed by Danny Roew in Hollywood. The band attribute their style to many influences, including thrash metal acts such as Metallica and Megadeth, punk rock bands such as NOFX, pop bands like Green Day, and alternative rock bands such as Nine Inch Nails. Twin Method has toured with such artists as Medication, Drowning Pool on their 2006 US tour, American Head Charge on their 2006 European Occupation Tour, Soil, Type O Negative, Five Finger Death Punch, Bloodsimple and in 2007 they were part of the Family Values Tour headlined by Korn and Evanescence. Lyrics are generally considered with how negative actions of some affect others. In the words of Jason Carter-Potticary, lyricist for the band, "I generally write about certain people who do things without thinking and cause problems for others…people who are basically idiots." After writing their second album, which was never recorded, Twin Method split up in early 2009.
