Hailing from vibrant Miami, Florida, these four angels met and quickly found out they had numerous interests in common…all were aspiring singers, dancers, and performers with a love for Pop music with an edge. Alex 18, has been singing since the age of 2, modeling since the age of 4. She is also active in cheerleading and track and field while handling staff writer duties for her high school newspaper. Alex has also appeared in many TV commercials including TJ Maxx, Disney, L’Oreal, Pepperidge Farm and Visa. She describes singing as “my passion, it is the only thing that can take me away from this insane life! Lol” Bree 18, is a trained dancer with The Broadway Dance Center, Bree’s abilities have landed her on Broadway Tours “The Wiz” and “Showboat.” She has been a featured actress in several independent films, which propelled her continuing acting aspirations. She was also a featured dancer with NBA’s New York Knicks, the Miami Heat and the WNBA New York Liberty kids dance teams. As an aspiring singer/songwriter Bree sang with 2 other girl groups before finding the right fit of the Velvet Angels. Candice 19, has been dancing and singing since the age of 12, she has danced with P Diddy at the VMAs, Daddy Yankee’s video “Noche De Entierro,” and was a member of ESPN’s National Dance Team. Attending magnet schools throughout her educational years, she has aspired to be an entertainer for most of her life. Margeaux 17, is the “Baby”of the group and has been dancing and singing since the age of 4. Her precocious personality paved her way as she performed in countless shows in several cities. Her unsurpassed stage presence and confidence, has earned her various awards, scholarships, and titles with some of the top dance conventions. A featured dancer at The Latin Billboard awards, she has also performed for numerous charities during her reign as Florida Junior Orange Bowl Princess. She is also a theater veteran performing in numerous stage plays throughout Florida. With the current absence of female groups in the marketplace, all four had been looking to network with other girls to discuss forming a new group. Fate prevailed and the Velvet Angels were born…influenced by successful Pop and Pop/R&B acts like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston Christina Aguilera, J-Lo, Brittney and the Pussycat Dolls, the young crew collectively decided to push the envelope of Pop music as evidenced in their premiere video “Like To Watch”. They quickly decided this was the template for their move towards success in the music industry. The girls recently signed with Mercury/Island Def Jam Records and are currently working on additional recordings and continue to hone their individual and collective skills to facilitate their dreams of becoming a recognized force in the Pop Music arena.
