Vibhas is a multi- instrumentalist who has created a unique style of music. Classical training in Germany in piano and flute, studies in Latin percussion and soprano saxophone, and many years playing Native flutes in India have all been influential in creating the original sound he plays today. His travels around the world brought him to Sedona, Arizona where he was introduced to the haunting sound of the Navajo Indian flutes. Playing them to a background of Jazz harmonies and Latin rhythms creates a trance-like atmosphere of relaxation and well being. About his 3 CDs: “Light on the Path” is Vibhas’ first solo instrumental recording. Meandering softly from romantic piano melodies to native flutes, it is a peaceful journey through lush landscapes, both haunting and beautiful. This CD is perfect for elegant background music, massage or yoga, creating a warm ambience, heartfelt and timeless. “Longing,” with its rich variety of native flutes played over smooth Latin rhythms, creates a happy peaceful feeling. Great for yoga and easy listening, it is both soothing and uplifting for the spirit. “Flowers of the Dawn,” has nine soulful songs that touch the heart. Prasado’s rich natural voice has a quality of healing and relaxation. With Vibhas’ gentle flowing accompaniment on piano and flutes, they create a fresh and original sound, embracing the mystery of love and beauty. Read more on Last.fm.
