Vivian was born in Hong Kong and started learning to play the piano at the early age of three. She continued with piano studies until the end of high school. At the age of four, she already started giving her first piano solo performance in her kindergarten both as a pianist and as a kindergarten conductor. Throughout her school years Vivian had been an active performer as a choir pianist and then in her graduation year, as a musical pianist. After a brief study with the Royal Conservatory School of Music in Ancaster, Ontario, Vivian decided to leave piano and to pursue her undergrad studies and her dance career. She has a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from University of Waterloo, Ontario and a diploma in theatre-dance from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, Toronto. Since a teenager to her late thirties, Vivian had been an active dance performer, choreographer and dance teacher. Married with a daughter, she has been a dedicated wife and mother looking after her family. It was only recently that she picked up piano again. Her interest in contempo music has broadened her perspective in the music world, both from the old and the new. She has since then taken up her piano to one step beyond, enjoying both as a performer and recording her own selection of beautiful melodies. Her music appreciation also prompts her to share the lovely pieces with those of her kind. She became a Canadian in the year 1977 - written by Pansy Lim, a close cousin who knows the pianist since childhood. Read more on Last.fm.
