The project Waiting For Eve was born in March 2008 as a part of the international recording project "In a Cabin with". French composer Julien DUBOIS spent one week with sound engineer / producer Maarten BESSELING in a very big country side house in the North of France. During the week, different musicians of the band Les Blaireaux (the band Julien used to play with) came along to take part to the recording session: Stanislas VELLIET (drums), Pierre MARESCAUX (trombone) and Cyrille CREPEL (accordion), as well as Antoine PAYEN (cello). Then we got the pleasure to meet Una BERGIN, a jazz singer from Amsterdam, who joined the session to write down some lyrics and record the vocals. Maarten Besseling did also a big part of the programmation. After this recording session, we decided to prepare a live presentation of our music. At this point, the jazz pianist Anatole ZEPHIR joined Pierre, Stan, Antoine, Una, Julien en Maarten and the actual band Waiting For Eve had different rehearsing sessions, sometimes in Lille (F), sometimes in Utrecht (NL). Since December '08, our first CD is downloadable for free on www.inacabinwith.com. On December, 12th we had our CD presentation in Melkweg Theater in Amsterdam. In 2009, we are going to perform in France and in Belgium, hopefully in many different places... Read more on Last.fm.
