Wannskrækk was a punk band formed in Trondheim in 1978. Their debut on vinyl was with their soon to become anthems "Æ veit da faen æ" and "Inn te avhør" on the classic Kraftrock compilation LP in 1980. The year after (1981) they put out their first record "Faen kuler treffer aldri riktig". A record that soon became one of the rarest and most sought-after Norwegian punk seven inches. The title on the seven inch which translates into something like "Fuck, bullets never seem to hit right" was a comment to the Ronald Reagan assassination attempt the same year. In 1982 they recorded their second record, the "Wannskrækk 12" in Oslo. The record is produced by Sverre Knudsen from The Aller Værste!. In 1985 Wannskrækk breaks up and reforms as the rock band Dumdum Boys. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
