Wednesday Night Heroes are a four piece punk rock band from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Wednesday Night Heroes started as a high school band, with Luke "the Manimal" Mackinnon on bass and Todd Rocket on the drums. Soon after looking for a vocalist, Luke decided to enlist his brother, Graeme on vocals. Lance "the Impaler" later joined on guitar. The group released two seven inches: first a split with another Canadian punk band The Cleats and No Regrets For Youth both out on Longshot records. Soon before the bands sophmore debut, Superioty Complex Lance quit the band and Konrad Andrelunas stepped in on guitar. After endless months of touring Todd Rocket soon quit and Jay "Bomber" from the Mad Bomber Society took over on drums. After two years of endless non-stop touring all over North America they caught the eye of Jake from The Casualties. Upon seeing them live, he took them on tour with his band and quickly signed them to his record company, Charged Records and released their 7" Move To Press in 2005. In March of 2006 the WNH also caught the eye of the Stern brothers from, Youth Brigade and in late 2006 was signed to their label, BYO records. In June 2007 their third full length LP entitled, Guilty Pleasures will be released on BYO. The Wednesday Night Heroes are most well known for their highly energetic live shows and humour. This can also be seen in Konrad's and Graeme's side project, Whiz Kidz. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
