Zozobra

Zozobra was formed in Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States in 2006 by Caleb Scofield (Cave In, Old Man Gloom), which allowed him the chance to write his own songs for the first time. On their first album, Harmonic Tremors in 2007, Caleb teamed up with Santos Montano (Forensics, Old Man Gloom) on drums and Adam McGrath (Cave In, Clouds) on additional guitars and vocals, with Caleb doing bass, guitar and vocals. The album was released by Hydra Head Records. The band toured the United States with Isis and Jesu in 2007. The follow up record Bird of Prey was released in 2008, also on Hydra Head. It features Caleb on bass, guitar and vocals, and Aaron Harris (Isis) on drums. Aaron also engineered and mixed the record. The band went on a hiatus after this release. The band re-emerged in 2013 with their third release, Savage Masters, on Brutal Panda Records. This time with Caleb on bass and lead vocals, Adam McGrath back on guitar and backing vocals, and John-Robert Conners (Cave In) on drums. Zozobra went on to tour the United States with Kowloon Walled City in mid 2013.
