Electro Swingers is a barbed wire group formed in Copenhagen in 1960 with the following members: Ebbe Møllgård (lead - g) Bjarne Andersen (rhythm g) John Skårup ( el -b, tp) , Verner Visholt ( lead-vo , org ) Flemming Møller (dm ) . Originally a Cliff Richard & The Shadows inspired band , but quickly the new English Liverpool currents in the repertoire . Both Møllgård as Skårup was previously musicians and Electro Swingers was initially among the musically talented Danish rock bands , including experimented group early with echo machines and audio filters . The core Møllgård , B. Andersen , Skårup and Visholt amounted Electro Swingers - with changing drummers , including Gerd ' Bjuti ' Madsen and Irving Waldorf. In 1965 replaced Visholt Bent Lyman ( lead-vo ) and Electro Swingers put the music into a more soul influenced style. Recorded in the spring of 1967 (1.2 ) , where Birger Jensen ( dm ) starred . In late 1967 Lyman was replaced by Benny Rasmussen ( lead-vo , org . ) . Electro Swingers played as one of the first rock bands in Nyhavn and played in the early years on a regular basis , inter alia, Skipperkroen , Nyhavn 41 and Cape Horn . With René Hansen joined the Electro Swingers (formerly groups Griff , Hiber and Handshakes ) was the style more hard-hitting and rocket , inspired from the group Handshake René Hansen and Per Bernhard Hansen had just played together .
