Formed in Newcastle, NSW in 1997, WISEHEIMER are a 5 piece punk rock band consisting of: Luke Williams – drums, Heath Rowley – bass/vocals, David Smales – guitar, Luke Mongan – guitar/vocals and Jake Willoughby – lead vocals The band members are an unlikely bunch, comprising a postman, a cop, a bar manager, a student, and an engineer. Our influences include bands like NOFX, Propaghandi and Ignite. Characterised by fast drumbeats and catchy harmonies, our style is distinctly original and enjoyed by people of all ages. Our songs offer opinionated social commentary, as well as personal themes. Having been together for nearly 10 years, WISEHEIMER has played hundreds of shows, frequently headlining at local pubs and clubs, where we have developed a solid fan base. We have performed with many great bands including international acts like ‘Pulley’, ‘Against Me!’ and ‘No Use For A Name’. We have appeared alongside Australian success stories such as ‘28 Days’, ‘Throwdown’ and ‘After The Fall’ and our stage act just keeps getting better and better. Our first full-length CD entitled ‘None The Wiser’ was independently produced and released in 2004. Tracks from this disk have been (and continue to be) played on SBS, NBN, and Fox Sports television networks. Songs have been released on wakeboarding, snowboarding, surfing, body boarding and motocross DVDs. The disk also received rave reviews and frequent airplay on Triple J radio station.
