The creation of the group dates in late 1995 to early 1996 when George Papapostolou (composer) proposes to his friend and old schoolmate, George Parodi (lyricist) to share the dream that was impossible until then, which calls MPLE. The two friends come to an agreement and slowly begin recording their first demos which they showed the following summer to Yiannis Petridis (then director of Virgin Records) and sign a contract immediately. So in November releases their first album entitled “Guilty” and all the critics talk about unprecedented ringing in the Greek music scene with great lyrics and interpretation.The songs «obligations», «I fear», «You do not live anywhere» didn’t been late to become loved by the public and the unexpected success for an emerging band (the album is platinum) gives rise to many groups to follow the music way ,which MPLE opened and record companies to become more responsive to innovative efforts assemblies. Later falls like lightning to the members of the group Theodosia Tsatsou’s commission in which she expressed her withdrawal from the band…!Here is a space for MPLE from the music scene until next November but this does not mean that the group was disbanded. Thus we see them again to return with a broad dynamic album with homonymous title.These interpretations of songs shared George Papapostolou, Melodia(English-Jamaican singer),Georgia Kefala and interpret a song Philippos Pliatsikas.The meeting in this album with Georgia proved catalytic.MPLE propose her to become the singer of the band and Georgia already excite the audience with her voice and the amazing presence on stage, says yes.The course which the band follows ,crosses over every imagination and demonstrates that anything is possible. MPLE breaks the status quo in Greek discographical time that wants the band to dissolve or disappear when the singer decided to pursue a solo career but in the years which following ,they follow an unique way in the music scene!!!
