Андрэй Хадановіч

Andrey Khadanovich (born 1973, Minsk) is a Belorussian poet and translator. His profession is French philology. He graduated from the philolgical department of Belorussian State University and from the graduate school of this University. He teaches History of French literature at his alma mater. Translates from Polish, French and Ukrainian. Khadanovich is the member of Belorussian writers union and Belorussian PEN-Centre. His major collections of poetry include "From Belarus With Love", "Letters From Under the Blanket". Poetry was translated into numerous foreign languages including English, German, Ukrainian, Polish, Russian, Latvian, etc. Experts believe that his poetry is an outstanding event of Belorussian literature, combining "bookish" poetry with urban talk, rock, rap, etc. Read more on Last.fm.
