Their third album The Rifts, released the 30th of January 2015, is a bleak and beautiful journey through the innermost landscapes of the heart and soul. A brooding album about losing hope, dreams falling apart, isolation and final moments of clarity and redemption. Unquestionably, this is the band's darkest and most emotional album to date. Formed 2007 in Stockholm, Sweden, they released the critically acclaimed EP The King of Everything on Erik’s record label Version Studio. The Swedish duo followed up with the full-length album Zenith, released on August 30, 2010. A Swarm of the Sun is working with a number of musicians and producers: Most notably long-time collaborators Karl Daniel Lidén (The Old Wind, Vaka) and Anders Carlström (Kausal, The Isolation Process), but also Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna), Anna Sofi Dahlberg (Anekdoten), Robin Bergh (October Tide, Aoria), Andreas Lindström (Aoria) and Pelle Henricsson (Tonteknik Recordings). Extracurricular activities: Erik runs the record label Version Studio, and is also a member of Aoria and Kausal. Jakob works with visual arts, and is doing artwork, photography and visuals for the band and others.
