Adiaphora may refer to: -German darkwave band -Deathcore band What is Adiaphora? The term adiaphora is the plural form of the Greek adiaphoron, which means "indifferent." The ancient Stoics used it to refer to things which they regarded as being morally neutral, neither good nor bad in nature. Much later on, Protestant theologians also used the term to refer to things which were "scripturally" neutral, by which they meant neither forbidden nor required by the scriptures. The Origin (Fictional) The main character has tried out a new virtual reality game, named 'Project XERO', that is supposed to hypnotize you when you play. The game is all the rave because being hypnotized makes it even more real. The games are set up so that the computer will learn from your decisions, making the games even harder to beat each time. This is done with A/I (Artificial Intelligence) Technology. During on of the sessions, our main character (let's call him Silace) decides to play the game after a long night at the bar. Little does he know that the A/I inside has grown to it's capacity, and has been calculating a way out of the computer world, into the real world. During Silace's game he notices that the controls are messed up and everything's glitchy, so he tries to bail out. The problem is that the A/I is in the middle of downloading itself into Silace's brain. Silace can only get half of himself back into his original body, and the other half must be left behind. This goes for Both Silace and the A/I. Enter: Obsolete With nowhere else to run and no other way to survive, the A/I joins with Silace's abandoned, soulless half creating a sort of mesh between spirit and Data. This new breed of A/I now has even more of a free will as well as a horde of memories and emotions that it never had to deal with before. The A/I begins to surf the web, reading the millions of Blogs and letters sent everyday, learning all it can about our world and what it means to be a human. After a few days of angry Blogs, painful journal entries, and harsh e-mails flying through its learning factor, The A/I begins to wonder if humans really want to be here or if they are TRYING to destroy themselves. The A/I is so conscience at this point that it gives itself a name and and begins to create it's own identity. The A/I 3945 has a mind to make up and he has decided to end the humans' pain by exterminating them. Enter: The Sum of Love and Hate Back in the real world, Silace is trying to deal with his new found memory loss, as well as the shock of his improved way of thinking, ability to communicate with machines, and a few other undiscovered but always arising new powers. He has also deemed himself XERO. A new name for a man with no past. He barely has time to enjoy his new state when he begins to sense a virus eating through an infected computer nearby. He had never given it much thought before, but now this mere machine seemed to scream in both agony and insanity. As it's cries grow louder and harder, XERO finds himself uploading his entire being into the system, Taking on his first mission.... Enter: Guardians of the Heart...... Every Superhero has a moment of clarity. This is a time in which XERO must decide how he wants to use his strengths. He now takes the time to discover new things within himself, including a new perspective on his ongoing search for true Love. As these realizations grow ever more steady and clear he assumes the roll of the warrior, fighting for Love in a different way. This is the beginning of The Legend of XERO, a collection of songs and stories centered around a Superhero who has become a Christian. In the fashion of the old texts, the project was divided into 2 parts. The new name was called, “The Legend of XERO”. XERO’s reason for this is based on God’s tendency to change the names of his servants once that servant has become committed to God’s calling. Read more on Last.fm.
