AKRABU began in 1995 as a solo project by Scorpios Androctonus (Crimson Moon, E.V.P., etc). Originally from California, the project relocated to Europe in 1998 and is now established in Germany. The Music consists solely of acoustic instruments, percussion and vocals aimed to capture atmospheres of Ancient Sumeria, which the project is based upon, lyrically and musically. On a musical standpoint influences vary from Dead Can Dance to Sopor Aeturnus, giving a very organic, natural yet eerie and ritualistic through utilization of all acoustic instruments and not yielding to the use of electronic or synthetic instrumentation.
