Dani Raushi - vocals Veejay Kumar - guitar Ben Brennan - bass Matt Crute - drums In 2005, singer/songwriter Dani Raushi teamed up with Crutey (drummer for Aussie rock band FULL SCALE) to write a collection of acoustic tracks. They didn't know it at the time, but those relaxed writing sessions on Venice beach would lead to the creation of the melodic/rock outfit AMPHETAME. Dani is no newbie when it comes to performing either. She has been singing for as long as she can remember and grew up performing in various talent shows and pageants. At 19, she got selected to sing her original music for a mini-musical that toured Italy called, "Made In America". Over the last 3 years, Dani has met and become friends with several Australian acts including FULL SCALE, THE BUTTERLY EFFECT, THIRSTY MERC (who she randomly met sitting on a plane from Melbourne to LA) and KARNIVOOL. All these bands have greatly inspired Amphetame’s music. In mid-2006, Dani flew to Australia to demo her songs with local Aussie musicians. Crutey provided the beat and suggested his good friends Ben Brennan (bass) and Tristan Ross (guitar) to play on the recording. A visit from The Butterfly Effect vocalist Clint Boge resulted in hauntingly beautiful backing vocals on the track “Glass Ride”. Read more on Last.fm.
