T. Ariunaa broke out into the Mongolian pop scene in the late 1990s with the hit single "Blue Jeans" from the album Eobkhon Chinii Tukhai and was marketed as the "Mongolian Madonna." This image was an attempt to provide Mongolia with a edgy complement to Sarantuya. Her stage persona included wearing black lingerie and engaging in vivacious behavior.
