An Australian singer and actor, Carol Hitchcock's 1987 single "Get Ready" was a dance-pop cover of the Smokey Robinson-penned song that was a U.S. top 40 hit for both The Temptations and Rare Earth. It was produced by the popular dance-pop production team of Stock Aitken & Waterman. The single's b-side was the ballad "More Than Words Can say," which was also recorded by SAW-produced artists Mel and Kim and Hazell Dean. The single reached the top 40 in Australia but failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. Read more on Last.fm.
