Claire Guerreso has been singing all her life. In her own words, she "lives for the singing of, writing of, and recording of music" and "still sings in the shower and in the car." Her stated goals are to stay honest and have fun, whilst keeping those aspects and integrity and freedom in her music. Claire's influences, which include Joni Mitchell, Sade, Bjork, Fiona Apple, The Duke Spirit , Ella Fitzgerald, Frou Frou, India Arie, Ani Difranco, Portishead and the Sufi poet Rumi, reflects the range of her own music and attitude of creative freedom. She also draws from the good and bad days in life, the current events of the world, and politics. On Tuesday, April 15, 2008, the EP As Is was released through Amie Street where it was spotlighted on New Music Tuesday and has quickly reached maximum sale value, racking up many recommendations.
