There are two bands with the name ctrl-alt-del: (1) The group Ctrl-Alt-Del usually comes as a surprise to many reviewers as it just doesn't fit the stereotypical image one would expect from an independent Alternative Rock band from Eastern Europe. The band started in 2002 when vocalist Adam Sypula met Dominik Rozwadowski and the twins Peter and Pawel Sitkowski, who were in the midst of creating a new project on the remains of their former group Musick. The outcome was a great concoction of personalities. "After a few months of playing, out of the blue, we had an album ready for the making", says Dominik. "We all felt that Adam's unique voice opened the door for us to explore new areas of music. For the first time we knew that we were on a quest for sound." The final stage of shaping the band's sound took place in the recording studio. "We basically wanted to achieve a modern Rock sound rooted in heavy guitar riffs and massive rhythm section", explains Dominik. "Our producer Marcin Bors embroidered our album with a bunch of samples and electronic sounds which was exactly what we had envisioned". And it worked! "Wow what a blast this is folks! From Poland, I received this remarkable debut CD. To be quite honest; I didn't expect anything this good to come from a former Eastern European country. How wrong can one be?!" - comments Edwin van Hoofman the first reviewer of the album. The latest opinion about their music was delivered by Alon Miasnokov from Alternative Zine: "Whatever it is, its good, well-rounded music, played with conviction and professionalism, the sound is crisp and clear, the playing is top notch, the bass guitar is outstanding, the vocals are a kind of a twist on Mike Patton's smother delivery, all in all, they certainly amaze with a much higher quality release that can be expected from an unknown, self produced album." After three industrious years of building fan bases throughout Poland Ctrl-Alt-Del is prepared to expand their horizons and hit Europe with its modern and unpredictable musical tissue. "The trouble is that Eastern European countries are still perceived as primitive", Dominik explains, "Our goal was to break this myth and we believe we managed to do it, entirely on our own." "At first we just wanted to do something for ourselves", Adam says, "To let off steam in the outburst of sounds when we jammed. Soon it appeared that there are more and more people who need the same treatment. We feel like doctors offering people the chance to restart their lives with Ctrl-Alt-Del." Band members Adam Sypula (SELFiD): Lead Vocals, Dominik Rozwadowski: Guitars, Piotr Sitkowski: Guitars, Pawel Sitkowski: Bass Lukasz Rajchert: Drums, (2) Ctrl Alt Del is an unsigned indie rock band from Honolulu, Hawaii.
