Dissipate was born in Summer of 2005. Since then, they’ve recorded three albums and released several rounds of merchandise (including posters, stickers, t-shirts, guitar picks and wrist bands). Some of the most memorable bands they’ve shared the stage with include All Shall Perish, Hostility, 3 Inches of Blood, Arsis, The Faceless, Murder in the First, and Antagony. Their goals are to be the most physical and intense live band on every bill, push their record as far as possible and extensively tour. While many bands intend to entertain audiences, Dissipate would rather challenge and intimidate them. Without young minds challenging the standards of music and culture, nothing would ever progress. Thus, Dissipate is focused on a modern approach to metal. Whereas so many current acts are rehashing trends that predate their own existence, Dissipate is looking forward, pushing themselves and the boundaries of heavy music as we know it. While drawing influence from technical bands like Ion Dissonance and heavier, groove-oriented death metallers Dying Fetus and Skinless, Dissipate intensifies their musicality with a brutal, metalcore edge, akin to Oblige and Hatebreed. The end result is a crushing attack of down-tuned raw power. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
