Strong, intense and passionate music is what produces the guitar duo - Duobá - formed in 1998 when musicians Jose Ferreira and Ricardo Mello turned their friendship into a musical duo. They started performing in Brazil and Argentina but in In 1999 a new opportunity came for them to demonstrate and expand their work in the United States. In North America, Duobá exchanged musical influences with various other artists, sharing their work with audiences and in August 2000 they released the Sound Flower CD internationally. The CD includes their own original compositions as well as homages to icons such as Tom Jobim, Astor Piazzola and the brazilian revolution called capoeira. In 2003 they released their second CD, Latitude. This new work was reviewed as a masterpiece by many critics in 4 countries. After 6 years in the US, they moved to France in 2006 where they have been performing for the last 2 years. Their website, www.duoba.com is a world reference for good music. Read more on Last.fm.
