Erny Green is no stranger to any part of Europe, really, or the rest of the world. After playing in various punk and new wave bands in the early eighties –while studying literature at the University of Utrecht- he turned his back on “settled society” in 1988 and toured the world as a travelling troubadour; sharpening his talents throughout Europe, the USA, Mexico and Guatemala. On returning to the Netherlands in the early nineties he firmly established himself as a prime performer in an endless string of concerts on all the main stages and festivals, and joint performances with the likes of Michelle Shocked, Tanita Tikaram, Bob Mould (Husker Du), David Olney, Jim White, Johnny Dowd, My Morning Jacket and Evan Dando (Lemonheads). Meanwhile he released three solo albums to great critical acclaim (especially his 1997 solo live outing “Expectations”), while -on a return visit to the USA with David Olney- he finally performed at New York’s most famous CBGB’s club. sites : www.ernygreen.com / www.myspace.com/ernygreen Read more on Last.fm.
