Finbar Furey, the eldest of the Furey Brothers and their close friend and co-performer, Davey Arthur are past masters at all of the ancient Celtic Instruments and this forms a very important part of their "on stage" ensemble. The normal lead vocals is done by Finbar but all of the brothers are accomplished Vocalists and can take the lead and indeed do during a stage performance. I have been a fan of the Furey Brothers now for some 25 years and in fact was booked in to their show in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia when their Mother died back in Ireland and they had to cancel the tour and return home. They returned the following year and I managed to see them live, once again. They have a great repertoire of songs, classics effectively, every single one of them and if you are an officiando of Celtic Gaelic Music, you should listen to more of their works, they are the best.
