Frank Harper (Visit his site!) is a german guitarist, singer, songwriter and composer. As a kid he had short encounters with violin, keyboard and drums, but focused on playing classical and fingerstyle guitar at the age of 16. Songwriting and several years of playing in a prog rock cover band accrued. After a long break he turned back to music in 2007. Contrary to his former approach making music now became a very intuitive, improvisatory process. That does not mean to demonstrate virtuosic skills within the bounds of a single musical style but to translate musical inspirations of various styles spontanously. Accordingly up to now Frank's releases cover original songs of styles Rock, Blues, Electro Pop, Ambient, New Age, Ragtime and Fingerstyle as much as recordings of music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Supported and motivated by his friends, Frank started to record his music at home in 2008. In the summer of 2009 he joined in to the Jamendo community. Gaining thrilled reviews he decided to work on his first commercial album, a set of eight tracks of calming and romantic music, released in spring 2010. Read more on Last.fm.
