G. Zarapanecko

G. Zarapanecko is a mostly-studio project by Adam Matlock utilizing live instruments and computer processing, found sound, synthesized textures and occasional percussion into an electro-acoustic ambient stew. Textures like dusk in a city leaking light pollution into the sky, capturing the colors in a jar and ejecting them onto a corporate billboard. G. Zarapanecko is embracing tech and moving into the realms of live performance, some solo and some with esteemed future collaborators like Bella Reese, Colorguard, Kalle and Asgath. Matlock was raised in parts of Massachusetts, studying classical piano and singing spirituals in his youth. He played in rock bands in high school and early in college, before picking the accordion in a Klezmer ensemble, a choice which has influenced him to this day. In addition to G. Zarapanecko, Matlock also records modern cabaret tunes under the name An Historic, and writes long form new-music compositions under his own name. Read more on Last.fm.
