At first there was an interest to play music. In early 90's Ville and Miikka started to bang drums and guitar together. Back then the music was maybe not as highly produced as nowadays, but they had fun. So fun that Vili left his former band, and joined them as bassist. Later, Vili switched to lead guitar and Teemu joined the band to rule the basslines. Music genre was punk-rock-proge-metal-whatsoever-post-random. In the fall of 2003 the boys basically started a whole new band: Hollowheart was born. The only thing that remained same, but only for a while, were the musicians; the music style changed to more straight-forward, yet melancholic rock, and the name Hollowheart saw daylight. The band also started recording demos and doing more gigs. At the beginning of 2007 Hollowheart got its fifth member. Anna, who had played keyboards at the band’s live gig lineup, became an official member of Hollowheart. The band completed its current lineup at 2009. Teemu left Hollowheart at the end of 2008, and it took a few months until Mark took over the bassist’s spot. Today, at 2009, Hollowheart has charmed the audiece at dozens of gigs, including Virgin Oil and Nosturi in Helsinki and Tampere-talo in Tampere. Their recent demo is a beautiful ballad, "Broken Wings of Mine". Hollowheart has also shooted their first music video, "City Of Angels". Even though the business has gotten more and more serious and professional, the fun-part hasn’t gone anywhere. Hollowheart is still all about having fun - playing live and making music.
