The Wrestling Boot Band, also known as the Wrestling Boot Traveling Band, was a musical group fronted by Hulk Hogan that included "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart, Hogan's wife (Linda), and John Maguire. They released one album, Hulk Rules, in 1995 under the name "Hulk Hogan and the Wrestling Boot Band". Hulk Rules includes songs in the genres of rock, pop, rap and other genres. Two of the most notable songs on the Hulk Rules album are "American Made" and "Hulkster in Heaven". The former was used as the Hulkster's theme song in WCW for a while, until 1996, when Hulk hogan joined the nWo and began to use Jimi Hendrix "Voodoo child" as his entrance theme. The ballad "Hulkster in Heaven" was supposedly written in honor of a young fan whom Hogan had invited to sit in a front-row seat at a show in the UK. The story is that Hulk looked to the seat during the show and saw that it was empty, and was later informed that the child had died. This is the story behind the lyric "Guess there'll be an empty seat when I wrestle at Wembley.". Despite this story, Hogan never actually appeared at a WWF card held at Wembley. The album is considered by many[1] to be one of the most enjoyable cheesy albums of all time due to its amusing lyrics, derivative songwriting approaches, and excessive use of power chords.
