Jo Stance is a new project by upcoming Finnish vocalist Johanna Försti and drummer-producer Teppo “Teddy Rok” Mäkynen. With the release of their eagerly-awaited debut LP on Ricky-Tick Records, they are set to make a show-stopping entrance into the scene. The debut single “Hey Girl!”, released in June 2010, already made big waves gaining Jo Stance the #1 most played slot at Radio Helsinki in July, and the support of the likes of NYC’s famed Daptone crew. Jo Stance is Försti's debut solo project co-produced, written, and conceived by her and Teppo “Teddy Rok” Mäkynen, the man behind Ricky-Tick’s lauded The Stance Brothers pseudonym. The duo also play the majority of the instruments heard on the record, only to be aided by selected friends on occasion.
