Jukka Eskola (b. 1978) is a young trumpeter who is involved in various jazz groups, but perhaps is best known outside Finland for his work in the Finnish dancefloor/hard-bop jazz quintet, The Five Corners Quintet. Eskola released his debut album, ”Jukka Eskola” (Free Agent Records) in the spring of 2005. His second album "Hub Up" (2006), a tribute to Freddie Hubbard, was released exclusively in Japan. He was awarded the Sony Jazz Prize in 2006 and selected "Musician of the Year" by the Pori Jazz Festival in 2007. Read more on Last.fm.
